Are some football fans here?...

Well, today is the last day of Champions League for this year.

Roma has lost all the chances, you know. But the battle at that group has reached it's apogee. Who'll be lost: Real, Bayern or Dinamo?

SmileWelcome Emperor! How's the weather in Russia?

I'm sure you'll find that there are many fans of "footie" here, especially among the Brits, Europeans, & South Americans.

Have fun here, & nice to "talk" to you, so far away -- isn't technology grand?Big smile

SmileWelcome Emperor! How's the weather in Russia?

-Hi, Peter! Pleased to meet you and all! :-)

It's hard to say about the weather in hole Russia: from -50 at the Eastern Siberia to +20 at the Black Sea Bay :) :) :) :)

Till the last 3-4 days the weather in Moscow was cold (-15 - -10), but now it's near zero.

I'm sure you'll find that there are many fans of "footie" here, especially among the Brits, Europeans, & South Americans.

-Yes, Southern Americans, Australians and Asians are not so familiar with football :-)

-What does it mean about "technology grand"? :-)

Welcome indeed Emperor.

May I add my welcome even though I'm currently gagging at the thought of sharing the forum with a MAN U supporter.....

LOL

Shut up, shut up, we were distracted. A pigeon flew across the stands at the wrong time and distracted our first class, never make a mistake keeper, the sun was in his eyes too.

Plus Cygan is a bloody donkey so cut us some slack

I'm a Clyde supporter myself.

You'll find us in the lower divisions of the Scottish league, but we were a big team once. Clyde have the distinction of holding the Scottish Cup for the most years in succession. We won it just before the second world war, and held it for 8 years....till they played the next one!LOL

I don't think we'll be troubling European football for a few years, but maybe the Scottish premier league one day..Sleepy

Hi EasySmile, it's a bit of a shame Scotland can't get their sh*t together on the pitch these days. Back in the glorious 70's, when England were knocked out of the world cup, our entire (English) junior school switched allegiancies to Scotland. A few years ago when England played Germany in the European cup (here in Holland) I bumped into a Scottish "friend" of mine in Amsterdam. He and his mates (Jocks to a man) were all proudly wearing GERMAN shirts. Trouble is, as I told them at the time, some people have got a great big tartan chip on their shoulders, and would be well advised to stick to chucking telegraph poles around a field, and leave football to the real countries.

Hi Emdiar,

It was really Clyde I meant wouldn't be troubling Europe for some time (OK ever!), hopefully the Scottish national team will get their act together a bit sooner!

The Scots are very fair minded when it comes to the England football team, we don't mind who beats them!LOL

Man Utd lost 3-0 but are through. Gerrard scored a wonderful goal to drag Liverpool through. Arsenal and Chelsea already through.

Bring on Juve,Barca and Real!

Sure thing! Big soccer fan here... actually my team, Pumas, is playing the 1st round for the Championship this evening. The second round on Saturday! So if anyone feel like cheering for team, you're welcome!

I also love watching the Premiere League and the Calcio... the one I cannot stand is the LFP... too many stars in Spain, and most of them in Real Madrid!
