Im not saying I dont have the time, Im saying - are you not fatigued after 2 or 3 cds?
I suspect lots of this listening is secondhand, background listening.
That does never do the music justice.

I live alone, I don't have a wife or a girlfriend or kids. I don't have a TV. I listen to music on my train commutes, which are often long. I have some nice high quality headphones for that. My company also allows me to listen to music on my breaks at work. On some days, I get 90 minute breaks if no clients have made an appointment. I usually listen to an album in the morning, one or two in the afternoon and two or three in the evening. I don't usually listen to five albums in a row because as you said it can be fatiguing. Also, sometimes I'm listening to EPs or older albums that are less than 40 minutes in length. I agree that background listening doesn't do the music justice in most cases. But there are some albums that I have, like Brian Eno's "The Shutov Assembly" or David Sylvian's "Approaching Silence" that are actually designed for background listening (I think those albums were originally made as background music for art installations). And sometimes, for me, when I'm tired or feeling down then putting on a CD is a way to rejuvenate myself. I also listen to music when I am stressed because it helps me deal with anger, sadness or other emotions. It's cathartic.

Is your vinyl of Thick as a Brick the one with the foldout newspaper cover?

"In Extremis" by Days Between Stations, I'm stark raving mad about this disc! Rick Wakeman, Tony Levin, Billy Sherwood, plus Peter Banks' last earthly guitar licks...
Fans of Pink Floyd would especially enjoy this, I hear quite a bit of Gilmour influence in the guitar lines!
The CD was dedicated to the memory of Peter Banks, it is a fine tribute.

They've finally arrived, my friend?! Or are you HOPING they show up by tonight lol?!
Because it bypassed an Aussie cinema run, I remember waiting endlessly for my DVD from the States of `Punisher War Zone' to arrive from Amazon, and it ended up taking over a month! I was expecting it within less than a fortnight, so I had to keep ringing up my friend cancelling our weeked plans to watch it because it was a no-show!
Nothing should stand in the way of a man in desperate need of that Prog fix! We're all hopesless junkies, aren't we, my friend?!
