Let me think a bit. Well the answer's still no, however long I think.

I love prog; I get a lot of enjoyment out of it. If he doesn't, that's his loss, not mine.

Post of the year. Who gives a f@@k about idiots like this?
I'm angry because it's also thanks to idiots like him that the 80s have been fullfilled by hair gel, plastic electronics and standardized fairlight/dx7 sound. We may be still living the 70s but he doesn't seem to have gone over the 80s.
I stand with Roger Waters, I stand with Joan Baez, I stand with Victor Jara, I stand with Woody Guthrie. Music is revolution

I agree.

Words of wisdom. I have never apologized for loving prog, and I never will. And it’s totally bs that prog stands in the way for love affairs. In my student days, I knew a beautiful, intelligent and witty girl called Mette (she studied geology). I taught her bridge and prog, and while listening to Pawn Hearts one evening, she said that if she could compose music, that kind of music was what she would have made. And a punk girl, who obviously had a crush on me, said that she hated Genesis, but she loved it when I played The Cinema Show and Ripples on the guitar. She also bragged about being able to play in 15/8 on drums. How pretentious is that? LOL

As Mosh has already pointed out, the punks used at least as much drugs as the prog fans. I also see this argument about the silly outfits. Like the punks wore less silly outfits themselves. And for some reason or other, many of them seem to love Bowie.

OK, ref, time for bed. LOL

And that's without considering how much makeup KISS has put on through the years. Smile There's going to be some ridiculous sterotypes in every music genre.

The guys at work are always poking fun at me for liking prog.  You know, while they are listening to rap.
