Not yet, but one of my bosses maintains it's a return to early 1970s form; reckons it sounds like it should have been released between Volume 4 & SBS.

This afternoon at a record fair I walked past Edwin "Savage Pencil" Pouncey, he was chatting with Jimmy Page. I was tempted to go up and say "Please can I have your autograph Mr Pouncey? But there was a third person there, huge bloke, possibly Mr Page's personal minder. So I left quietly and came home.
I suspect my prankstering days are over

So I had a chance to go and see Neil Young at the O2 last night (thanks to my nephew double booking with a trip to Marrakesh, which is somewhat fitting I suppose) so I'd thought I'd give it a go. I've only got his first 4 albums and I don't know his more recent stuff. Anyway, the only song I really knew was Dylan's "Blowing in the Wind" which he did in a wonderful but short acoustic section. The rest was noisy with guitar solos in between every verse (so it seemed) and at one point the whole band stuck their guitars in front of the speakers and just banged the fret board for 10 minutes to create a cacophony of headache-inducing noise.
His voice is still good but I could have done with less noise and more classics.
And we were so far up the O2 that the woman next to me had a vertigo attack and had to leave after 10 minutes.
This may well have been a typical Young gig but personally I wouldn't go again.

Yeah, I believe he is out for one last "go" with the Horse. This is probably the last chance to see him with his rock band, they've made comments to that effect. Like you, I would have enjoyed the songs but am not too into their feedback fascination.

When I saw that photo and decided to use it, I google imaged "short shorts" to see if I could find an even better one....all I can say is......wow. Some good wow, and some very bad wow. Short shorts are not for everyone

To me, the new album Psychedelic Pill is up there with the best he's done with Crazy Horse (Barring 'Weld', which is stunning) & I am so jealous of you getting to see them...
...may be a bunch of old gits nowadays, but sounds like still able to hit that groove...
...speaking of which, Sabbath at #1 on both sides of the Atlantic?!? Excellent - nice to know I'm at the cutting edge of musical taste again

Yes, I want to get the Sabs album just to show my nieces and nephews that I listen to top of the charts music as well.

Anyone here got cherry trees in their garden?
We have one about 15 feet high, from which we'd usually be looking at cropping about 15lb (at least) of fruit from in a season.
Last year with late frosts & huge amount of rain we got virtually nothing, but this year despite the long winter, there appeared to be a large amount of developing fruit... none of which is ripening.
I know most things are about a month late this year, but some of the fruit is dropping off already while still green & some is withering.
At this rate, it'll be another year without being able to make cherry vodka 
Thoughts? Advice?

Phone Alan Titchmarsh and buy cherry vodka from Tesco. Seriously, I know very litle about gardening. All I know is my blueberry bushes have gone pretty much the same way and I seem to have enough for about 2 blueberry muffins this year. Maybe it's developed too late?
