Todd, you're not wrong lol! Am I that predictable?!

What worries me is...with those hard rock covers (I seriously can't understand what purpose they would serve, or who would actually be excited to hear them), does that suggest the album may have English vocals, in some misguided attempt at appealing to a wider audience?

It took me a long time to appreciate the Osage Tribe's album. But it's been the case for so many other bands. I think it comes from my very first experience with the second Alan Sorrenti's work. Two and a half years before to fall in love. I would describe my relationship with RPI of prudent passion  Embarrassed. Heart

Well, add them to the list of 1970s bands reforming to take advantage of being more popular now than they were back then. Who can blame them? Hopefully the music will be interesting.

I thought the same thing Todd - they're hardly the only RPI band that's making the most of the renewed interest and goodwill progressive fans have towards them!

E.A.Poe, Corte Dei Miracoli - TAKE NOTICE!

Oh I don't blame them of course and I'm certainly not against them.  I'm just saying that if I were making the choices at a label, and of course there are so many things to choose from and limited resources, boy I can think of about 100 things I'd get to first, no offense Osage Tongue

Actually I would wager this new album is probably a lot better than the old one.  Good luck to em!

Jim, I sense a cynical weariness at their decision to merely release more `product' lol!

Yes, my buddy Tom Ozric tried to convince me to get that LP a year or two back when it was rereleased on vinyl, and after giving it a few listens of Youtube, I really wasn't interested much at all. I could think of endless other RPI albums/artists I would prefer to look in to.

Still, the quality of the `comeback' albums from 70's RPI artists has generally been very good, so I'll approach with open ears and heart...if a little more carefully than usual in this case!

Off topic guys. Sorry, but I just had to mention that TENEBRE (1982) by Goblin is a fantastic release. Really enjoyed listening to this one. Out of all the RPI I've discovered and listen to I find Goblin to be my favourite.
What a treat to listen to.

Gimmie my headphones now!!! 🎧🤣

So I guess I'm the biggest Osage fan around here!!
I loved this album from the first spin due to my love for hard rock, I actually never considered it to be RPI. I actually can't get enough of those freaked out hard rockin' jams.
I said it before, that a few years ago that album was above the 4 star mark and now it's below 3...Pinch. I know the sound quality is very bad but come on...the music is not that bad...
Anyway this is great news Pierre...can't wait!

Good on you, Sagi, I like it when someone defends an album that means a lot to them!

I just can't seem to get enough of Jacula-Tardo...  Based on its descriptions and reviews, I did not think I would like it, but I was wrong!  Today while tending to the never ending, ever growing "honey-do" list, I listened to Tardo...while burning a brush pile.  Snapped this photo while "Absolution" was playing....at one point I was chanting and dancing around the fire with my fire poker stick in the air...I guess you had to be there.  Good memories of RPI vintage in the modern era!

PS - Michael, I know I may have not mentioned it before as acknowledged on previous posts, but your reviews are very worthy!  I would love to to see your review of Jacula's Tardo...
