Hello !
So our band got added recently into PA. We're Unit Wail band from the Soleil Zeuhl label. I wouldn't know to who recommend this but we sure have a lot of influences like: King Crimson, Magma, Présent, Univers Zéro, Thinking Plague, Gentle Giant, Primus, Combat Astronomy and many many more. Currenly, we have only one song going around the internet : Our ProgArchives page : Unit Wail on PA Our Facebook page : Unit Wail on FB Thanks a lot ! A. Hey guys, bought your CD late last year, and I've loved it. I had planned to post up a nice very positive review for you already, but have run into some difficult personal circumstances. However, I promise I'll get that review for the album posted as soon as possible!
You should be very proud of the album, it's a killer, and I hope we get a follow up too! |

I think mine is the first review of your album on this site. I'm everything but a professional writer so apologies in advance. I have a question: what does the speaker say at the end of "Subdeath?"

Hey !
Thanks octopus-4 for the review! Nice feedback ! So at the end of Subdeath, Frank says : "Au coeur des silences endormis, l'enfer s'étale. Sanguin, rouge vif, le rêve s'arrête. Mon ciel divague" So this is very hard to translate to english, but i'll try ! "In the heart of asleep silences, hell is spreading. Fiery, bright red, the dream is stopping. My sky raves" |

Thanks, so the concept is not about Lovecraft, but dark enough

In Italian that sentence sounds very well, instead. The meaning of each word is respected. Just for fun, it would be:
Al cuore del silenzio addormentato, l'inferno si diffonde. Sanguigno, rosso vivo, il sogno si interrompe. Il mio cielo delira. The last verb "delira" (from latin Delirium) is I think the best meaning of the English rave. Divague gives the idea of somebody going around stoned... So the Subdeath seems to be the death inside a dream, which for the dream itself is the end of the world... Ok, I'm going too far, but I think that instrumental music always contains messages, conscious or not. That's what makes the difference between the old conception of classical music, with instruments playing a part like on Peter and The Wolf and the musical revolution started in the late 60s. I must relisten to your album with this sentence in mind. |

Octopus, I love how you interprete our tracks !!
Actually, Vincent had a very clear idea when he composed the tracks and named them, but the most important thing for us is that our listeners can make up stories out of the music and names... That's awesome ! And thanks Nogbad !! :) |
