Topic: Stairway vs Kashmir Posted: May 13 2013 at 11:39 |
Kashmir- but the version played on the Page/Plant No Quarter album, with the whirling Dervishes and all the middle-eastern instrumentation in the middle.

Neither. Rain Song is their masterpiece, IMHO.

Stairway suffers from excess of popularity, a bit like what happens with Kansas Dust In The Wind and tracks like that. Because of that I currently enjoy Kashmir more, but I vote for Stairway, I think it is a slightly better song.

Really tough to decide. "Stairway To Heaven" is probably the prettiest track they ever did. On the other, "Kashmir" is probably the best of their experimental rockers.
I'm sorry, it's impossible for me to vote. My choice would probably come down to what I'm more in the mood to listen to.

I'll go with Kashmir. Both great songs, but I think I may have heard Stairway too much. Love the hypnotic feel of Kashmir.
