Download the following (free) which shows some pretty strong Floydian influences -

Not a Pink Floyd tribute band, but you may enjoy it!

Abarax, Airbag, Negative Zone, Torga Ostera all follow that great melodic Floyd rock as found on Meddle through The Division Bell.

Maybe not all the time, but Brazilian Violeta de Outono does get pretty close to Floyd at times. This one from their Volume 7 album is testimony to that, and what a tune it is!
Turkish act Siddharta also wields an uncanny Floyd vibe. One of the rare successful heir-takers of the sound imo: |

I've spent years searching for something able to give me the same vibrations of Saucerful Of Secrets, Atom Heart Mother and Echoes....I haven't found anything better than Camel.

I'm a big Floyd fan myself, and I'm really into Steven Wilson's "The Raven That Refused To Sing". As a matter of fact, the producer of "Dark Side Of The Moon", Alan Parson's also recorded this album released in 2013. Also watch Wilson's DVD "Get all you deserve". I think you'll like it. Here's a good one for you...

Plus Porcupine Tree's "Coma Divine". With certain similarities to early Pink Floyd (Ummagumma and live at Pompeii specially). |

Been mentioned already, but early Porcupine Tree (Sky Moves Sideways, etc) and Eloy (Ocean, Mighty Echoes..etc) sound a lot like middle period F loyd to me....
there are several more obsucre bands that do also but I'd have to dig through the pile.to get the names. ![]() |

I guess Coma Divine is sort of the Live release that captures that particular era of Porcupine Tree. It was released (or recorded) just after Steven Wilson released the first Porcupine Tree with the defined line-up (don't remember it's name), so includes songs from that album, plus many other songs from the previous albums (which were most of them originally played only by Wilson on all instruments). |

I agree. Moonmadness and The Snow Goose, Mirage and the debut should immensely please any fan of Meddle, DSOTM and WYWH.
I started a poll awhile back, listing 25 songs I thought were particularly "Floydian." If you love Floyd, I highly recommend seeking those tracks out. It can be found here: http://www.progarchives.com/forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=90836

That's right...........I haven't played Coma for sometime. When I first heard Tree , Sky Moves Sideways, I thought it was a Floydian wannabe...but Wilson changed over time.
