Picked up a Sam Adams Spring Thaw pack last week at Costco. This is the most pleased I've been with everything inside. 6 varieties, including the usual Boston Lager, Alpine Spring, Irish Red, Maple Pecan Porter, White Lantern and Double Agent IPL.
Lots of citrus notes in the Alpine, Lantern and DA lager. The red is smooth as can be, and the notes of maple and pecan blend so well with the chocolatey porter base. Edited by *frinspar* - January 26 2013 at 16:03 |

Tried out Brooklyn Brewery's new stout "There Will Be Black" last night. Very good stuff. Not available much longer unfortunately.

Hi Epignosis, I am not particularly fond of beer because it makes me feel full, however I do like Belgium beer because it has a much higher alcohol content compared to others thus I can have just a few sips and become very happy. Hihihihi I am a happy drinker I suggest you try DUVEL Belgium beer, Amstel and Heineken are both Dutch but instead I suggest you try Grolsh also another Dutch beer brand. Anyway, hugs to you

London Pride is very good, and I love the porter as well. Pretty much anything by Fuller's will do the trick.

I have heard women say this a million times and it never makes sense to me. I have never heard a man say it. I wonder why that is? |

Good malt character and hop balance, pretty low alcohol...actually would make a nice summer beer to be honest. I'll have to try that Porter next time. |

Of the ones listed I went with Guinness but I also like Newcastle and Bass.
But for the last 5 years I've mostly been drinking US micro brews since there are so many excellent ones around.
A local place called 3 Floyds makes some very good ales and beers...and holds Dark Lord Day to celebrate their Dark Lord stout. My personal favorite by them is Robert The Bruce.

They have become popular here and their 'fame' is spreading. They make 4 or 5 regular year round beers and quite a few seasonals in 22oz bombers. They held Dark Lord Day yesterday (the only time one can buy DarK Lord a Russian imperial stout...)but I could not get a ticket....again. They have an online lottery and if you are lucky enough to know someone who works there you might get in. Edited by dr wu23 - April 28 2013 at 10:00 |
