Topic: Things That Will Kill You Dead Posted: March 19 2013 at 21:10 |
As I was scrolling down the chart I realized that there are some things that rank lower and kill us that we are more afraid of than those things that bring us down in the end.

^ Eh?
OK, give me a shortcut: which one of these will guarantee me a quick and painless way of dying?

I would like to die heroically by being shot. No need for a war; defending family/loved ones/friends will be quite sufficient for the "heroic" factor. And I would like it to be quick and painless; a direct shot to the head or heart.

I'd like to die in my sleep when I'm too weak and old to go on.

I suppose you could say so, since life ends in death. Thinking teleologically, you get a pretty bleak outlook on the meaning of life...

I prefer to live yet. So I postpone my vote, maybe 'til my diabetes has overtaken me.

My father suffers from Diabeetus, as his uncle and one of his cousins. So, I guess I have to watch my diet otherwise I could develop this illness. But it doesn't mean it will kill me. There had been some cancers in my mother's family, and this is more likely to kill me - in 40-50 years. Or I could commit suicide.

We're stealthy like that. Cancer so far has seen off both my parents, one grandparent (that I know of) and an uncle, so I'm guessing I won't have to worry about heart disease.
