Thanks, Pierre, will look into it when I'm back home!
Sorry for lack of proper den visits lately, my friend, just finishing up some personal situations. Hopefully back into the swing of things very soon :) |

Cool. If you're still interested in the Allegri Leprotti's album, there is one no too expensive on amazon.co.

I just picked up a whole lot of RPI. My last order included: La Maschera di Cera's latest in both Italian and English; Area Live 2012; Museo Rosenbach Zarathustra Live; Alphataurus Attosecondo
And I just placed an order for a whole lot more: Maura Pagani - s/t Procession - Fiaba Mangala Vallis - Microsolco (I really consider them more Italian neo-prog than RPI) Porte Non Aperte - Golem Progressive Italia Vol. 1 (6 CDs) Progressive Italia Vol. 4 (6 CDs) Whew. Hope I have enough money left over for food. |

I can understand your anger at me, but what did the horse I rode in on ever do to you?

I never post anything anywhere without doing more than basic research, often in depth.

2 reasons: 1. It has a different mix to the Italian version. And 2 and most importantly: Sometimes it is cool to know what the heck the lyrics are in a language I can understand. I almost always enjoy the Italian language vocals more than when they sing in English, but knowing what they're singing about does add to the enjoyment.

Just got the Procession and like it quite a bit! I will need to let it sink in fully before reviewing it though!

Must be something in the air, I have been on spree myself over the past week or so. It seems to come in phases for me. Along with a few other prog, jazz, and classical albums, in the RPI world I picked up: i Giganti - Terra in Baca (great! But only had a couple of listens so far) PFM - Storia di un Minuto (3rd PFM album I own, all are excellent and different at the same time,-all from 70s) La Maschera Di Cera - s/t (got that today after reading your posts) Rovescio Della Medaglia - Contaminazione (just about perfect) |

That and lIsola di Niente are my two favorite PFM albums, although Per Un Amico ain't bad itself. I like La Maschera's debut quite a bit. That's some good classic Italian prog (I'll be honest, I like just about everything Fabio Zuffanti touches), and if you like that, I'd highly recommend their third album Lux Ade. That is absolutely brilliant and the pinnacle of their career (although I will be listening to their new album for the first time today, so that may change). EDIT: Question for anyone. Does anyone know the status of the band Conqueror and if there are any plans to release any new albums? They are up there with La Maschera as one of my favorite modern RPI bands. But their output has been sparse. Edited by The Doctor - March 17 2013 at 11:03 |
