I like Yellow Submarine. I would buy that on DVD but wouldn't buy any of the others. I watched Magical Mystery Tour over Christmas after watching the BBC documentary of its making. Quite interesting. The furore it caused when it first aired in a prime time slot on Boxing Day (1967?) was quite amusing to reflect on. Most of the nation was not braced for an experimental art house film!

Let it Be is my favorite film and album of theirs. Some of their finest raw songs, no bullsh*t fluff like Abbey Road, and the thrill of being able to see them perform live on the roof....even if they stole that bit from the Americans......Airplane did the same thing a bit prior.

The Beatles did that instead of playing live in an empty venue - an idea copied by Pink Floyd a couple of years later.
