^ I love the debut, and remember reviewers saying the second isn't as good. How would you compare them Pierre?

Sag, the thing I can say is that the second one is less progressive and more Jazz with hints of Zappa. The first track is the italian cousin of Peaches in Regalia. That's my truth.

I liked the first video but overall they sound a little too ambienty for me. How is their first excellent album as you say? |

That was pretty cool. Reminds me something of Trono, early Gerard and Teru's...how much of the album is split between male/female vocals?

Trying to catch up with this place, but it seems nearly impossible Too much music to check out, I feel like my head is about to explode(in a good way that is)!
BTW What a fantastic job you did on thegeneration Jim Modern RPI I am most certainly looking forward to hear - especially due to what and how you wrote about it. Very nice my friend.

Verslibre, when I gave the album a spin the other night, I only listened to the first of the two disks. I'll give the second disc a play in the next day or so, but pretty sure the mix of male/female vocals was pretty much 50/50 even, with plenty of instrumental passages. |

I enjoyed this one quite a bit and it reminded me more of late 60s early 70s rock than prog. Will need to check the band out as I am really only familiar with RPI bands. |

Dealing lately with a lot of obscurities here, made me think of one of the most known italian bands... PFM.
There is one album that its low rating always bothered me, I'm talking about... I agree it's not up there with Per Um Amico or L'isola di niente but this a good album. Good?? No I mean Great! One of the most talented bands in the world go fusion, how bad can that be? It can't, they totally nailed it. The band is tight, the playing is top notch, every member is incerdibly good with what he's doing. Djivas, Premoli, Mussida, all good, I even like Lanzetti's voice. Tell you the truth I think it's better than the slightly cold Chocolate Kings. So... what's your thoughts about it? Do you agree with its 3.16 rating? I wonder what would the rating be if that was a one shot album by some obscure band, and not the symphonic masters everyone is used to. |

You know, Sagi, I don't mind that album either! I seem to return to it quite a bit, even though I probably haven't listened to it in a year now...I'm going to play it on my Ipod at work next, so thanks for the suggestion! `Jet Lag' was actually the first PFM album I ever owned, and definately no regrets!
I've got Franco Falsini's `Cold Nose' playing right now, and I've been giving Sensations' Fix `Finest Finger' a thrashing lately, what a terrific album!! |
