We are recording an album in a nice studio this year. We have one song that needs trumpet throughout the entire song. There are notes you cannot hit on a trumpet so we will be digitally manipulating the sound as well. Many of the melodic lines are counterpoint or in strange modes. There are, however, no extremely difficult parts. It shouldn't be too hard to play.

We also have 2 songs with a bit of violin. These parts are pretty easy, but they are necessary for the songs. They wouldn't take long to record. It's only during one riff in each of the songs.

The only stipulation here is you living near New York City. We will have planned out the days to record these parts weeks in advance. I will pay for transportation, buy you food, and even booze you up if you desire. You would also have a place to stay if you wanna get that drunk.

The music is already written out in sheet music so there would be no difficult translating or anything.

What makes this album different from our others, is the fact that we have been working on it for 4 years while we have been releasing all this other material. Every single measure in this album has been detailed as much as possible. This is what we have been working towards all this time. I would love to have a fellow PA member to be a part of it, as I feel like I'm about to achieve my first true goal in life!

Let me know if this sounds interesting to anyone!

It might help if you could post the sheet music as a pdf.
In that way, people can evaluate the level of it.

Hey,

I play trumpet and would record your part for free if you could send me a PDF of the trumpet score.

Send me a PA message with the PDF and I will tell you whether or not it is playable.

I am currently digging:

Hawkwind, Rare Bird, Gong, Tangerine Dream, Khan, Iron Butterfly, and all things canterbury and hard-psych. I also love jazz!

Please drop me a message with album suggestions.

I ended up using a Mellotron instead :D

Also I'm still looking for a bassist and/or keyboardist in NYC.

You need some bassoons and you know it!

I actually have the ability to contact a couple different bassoonists here in NYC but I'm told I'd have to buy them drugs because they are insane and I'd rather just avoid having to give some 60 year old bassoonist tons of drugs.
