I'm just listening to another German album `Epidaurus - Earthly Paradise' right now, Jim, have you heard that one? Despite the pretty awful female singer on two of the tracks, the rest is all instrumental and it's got quite a similar sound to that Novalis one you just mentioned! It's really pretty damn good!
