There is a great personal recollection written by Marco, that I've posted on the artist page as an addendum to our official bio.  If you like this band be sure to read.Smile

Wow!LOL
They look about twelve in the picture from their prime...

Big fan of that album as well. Very nice mix of fusion, symph, psychedelics and RPI. Again one of those "naive" releases that really gets my juices flowing. Others in the same "naive" ballpark are the first Battiato album Fetus, Semiramis sole album(Green man) and Buon Vecchio Charlie's selftitled.

Pierre, the actual LA QUINTA STAGIONE track is wonderful! Well produced, grand instrumental prog! Great little band!

I'd sign a petition for a reissue right now!

Oh yeah! He was just getting warmed up with Uomo before unleashing the peni.

Amazing!  Really like that album.  Youthful innocence, they broke their Mandolin and tuned a 12 string to sound like one, opened a dictionary and picked the name of the band...just can't make that stuff up.Smile

Nice update Jim.

Back to the hunt of exploring RPI.  Over the past few days I have been listening to Banco for the first time.  Their first  self titled album, Banco Del Mutuo Soccorso.  I was not thrilled on my first couple of listens but have since begun to enjoy it.  The singer's voice is awesome!  Full and rich, his voice just makes you think Italian.

For those who have not heard....

Jim/Aep, I just reviewed that album a few weeks back after coming to it quite late, it's a knockout, eh?! I love the almost punky energy and aggression to much of the playing!

And those booming vocals!!

^ Yes, it seems to be a mix of ELP blended with Tull but totally in a relm of their own.  Just read your review, excellent!  The vocals are definitely in Operatic territory.

Never write down your philosophical ponderings at 5 in the morning. You are most likely going to sound fragmented, pointless and at best a wee bit looney...

IL CERCHIO D'ORO, BABY!! Very looking forward to that one!

The first `Three Monks' albums was terrific as well!

I have a patchy history with Doris Norton's solo work, Jim, how do you find it? :)

Haven't listened to the new Rex yet either, but my `Praeternatural' review will be along shortly!

Jim!! Wow, I loved her cold, abrupt and stand-off ish responses in that interview, really lets us get into her way of looking at the world. A real eye-opener.

I've heard her first solo album, but I didn't like it enough at the time to want to buy that vinyl reissue, though seeing it in that photo at the end of the interview makes it look wonderful.

Aha! I have heard this Pierre! What a lovely voice that girl had, and some of the arrangements get very odd and unique!

Nice way to help me unwind, Pierre, I haven't thought of this album in some time!
