Well done, Dread, where did you get it from again?

That was one of the ones I wanted to add to my `list of albums I'm going to buy in 2013' list lol!

Keep us updated on how you find it after a few listens!

From Amazon actually - really pleased, I thought I'd have to hunt pretty hard. Smile Will do, hopefully I can squeeze in time for a review too!

I know! Partially because, as Michael will attest - it takes so long to get stuff from overseas when you're in Australia Smile
Worse, Christmas & New Year added to the delay. (Actually, Greg Walker is about twice as fast as Amazon sometimes, so it's not always that slow).

But it was worth the wait! Smile

Not bad, Pierre! Not really my sort of thing usually, but nicely done, especially the drifting second track you posted. If only it had been sung in Italian!

Pierre, what's your opinion on Banco's `...Dii Terra'? My copy arrived on CD, I won it for $4 on Ebay from a local vendor. I won't be giving it a listen until tomorrow morning.

I saw Jim gave a very honest review of `2 stars', but was very fair and accepting in his thoughts on it.

Damn it. I always arrive when everyone goes to sleep Tongue. Mike I don't think you have to be so cautious, I happen to think Di Terra is very good but you have to expect something else compared to previous efforts. I'm sure you've read this in other reviews but I'll say it's more classical inspired and a little less RPI-ish. It does take few more spins to grow on you but it has a lot to offer, I would never think of giving it a 2 star rating. I'll read Jim's review right now, I'm curious.

Heaps to like here, a slight jazzy overtone to some of it, and recommended for fans of Lucio Battisti. (yeah, I know, probably the second or third time this has been recommended here, huh? Smile )

I forgot to report back about this. I loved it from the first spin!!. Very good instrumentation and arrangements. Thanks Pierre!

Hmmm...but I didn't find I Lupi to be as good as this one, I liked about half of it and the rest was ok. It is less progy.

Ah, your jazzy album Pierre! Hope you end up loving it!

Sagi, I work shiftwork, so I'm usually on here quite sporadically different times from day to day!

OK, I listened to the first half of that Banco `Dii Terra' album, don't know what to think yet...I miss the wild energy, even though I think I will start to like some of it. It does seem a little...bland? Then again, I barely had four hours sleep, so of course my attention span and tolerance levels are limited! I'll give it a proper full spin again shortly.

Pierre, I have a feeling I've checked out that `Stairway' album before, the cover seems very familiar! I'll give your sample listen tonight when I'm back home.

This one is very surprising. 1971 or 72. As the guy from You tube says, it sounds like PINK FLOYD's SOYCD  4 years earlier. A double Lp, I think.

Pierre, let me just say that you are a treasure. Your investigative skills have really enriched this thread, and in turn each of its followers.

Thank you!  Hug

Yes, Pierre, you pull out the most random, unknown and suprising album suggestions! Always something new, or if not new, something great!

I have a list next to my computer of obscure or random RPI albums to look into, and most of them are obscure titles you've suggested Pierre, as well as titles the other RPI guys think highly of!

The last one I put on the list was that Robert Colombo album you were lucky to snap up!

Wouldn't mind that Enzo one from a few days back either!

You know, one of my finer source is close from here, exactly at the beginning of the page one of this thread. Before writing my first word, I spent a year reading the posts of Jim,Todd, Chris, John, Scott, Andrea(s), Linus,  Mandy ...etc.
The old thread is also alive as this one.Nuke

Heh, I have enough trouble keeping up with this one, Pierre! It's constantly a blur of action and recommendations, 24 hours a day!
