Perdio - Raccolta completa (1973-76)

Very rare RPI abum. Not so bad. A hard to find CD exists.

Perdio - Nice track, nice band! Reminds me a little of Ocean and ELP, etc. I have heard some of this one, and it's quite decent!

Hmmmm, I'm on the mood for something peaceful and tasteful:

I choose....ICARO by Il Volo Do Icaro:

Not the best production, but really lovely vocals, sad melody, very plesant overall!

Now I TOTALLY get the reference lol!! Sorry Pierre!! You see, I have to get up for work in 6 hours, I should be asleep! Too tired to understand your clever wordplay!

Leo Nero - What an odd track! Really schizophrenic!! Very inventive proggy nightmare insane pop that goes way beyond! Not getting any sleep now!

Leo Nero is Gianni Leone from "Il Balleto Di Bronzo".

DAMN! I really wanted to give that album some exposure and spread the good word about it, wanted people to see it, read it and want to explore the album further!

While I'm ranting, might as well put up a clip of one of my favourite tracks from it:

Rant over - Enjoy, my friends!
Now I really did like that! Clap  Adding to the list.  Great review also!

Since I am still in the middle of going through all my recent albums, I have a follow up for you on "Zerothehero", I like it quite a bit.  It has a very eclectic mix, I hear definite Floydian influences as well as some Crimson.  Some parts reminded me of Mike Oldfield and even a non prog band here in the states called My Morning Jacket (in spots).  Very nice!

PS - Michael, I saw your pix in another thread, very cool Segal look! Approve   Was that a Fender Strat?  If so, what was that black rectangular area in the upper, rear part of the guitar?  (my Strat is similar in color).

Jim/AEM, glad you liked that Zerothehero album, really nice! Just a nice easy background listen!

Oh, that picture, it's pretty old now, I haven't had that long hair in years (honestly, I'd KILL to be able to grow it like that now!), so I'll have to dig up some more recent ones!

That guitar was actually some fairly no-name piece of second hand junk! You know that old vile saying `Good from afar, but far from good'? Well, that describes that guitar perfectly! It would constantly go out of tune very quicky, plus the fact I was fairly terrible at playing it sealed it's fate even worse! It did have a kind of cool red rippled effect on it, I suppose.

As for that `black square', it was actually a Pink Floyd Dark Side of the Moon sticker someone had plastered on the front of it! Ahh, my prog destiny I suppose...except for the fact that there was also a freaking Spice Girls sticker on the back! Just to clarify - that was not my doing lol! Seriously, my friend and I have joked about this contrast for years, likening it to a real good vs evil/ying yang/God vs the devil sort of thing!

I have.  If I recall I liked the shorter tracks, but thought the one super long track was a bit disappointing.
