Sorry that I’m a bit slow these days; work and Christmas preparations keep me occupied. All my suspects, from Bismarck to Blücher, seem to have watertight (!) alibis. A politician?

It's OK. We cannot go on continuously at the same high tempo.

No, not a politician.

According to a Canadian politician of our time, he could not have eaten at the same table as an American politician of his time.

Happy new year! Sorry for my long-lasting absence.

I’m still not able to find this guy. A kind of inventor?

Finally the pieces fit. This gentleman is surely Heinrich Schliemann, the man who destroyed Troy (which is also a song by Sinéad O’Connor). Reading the Wiki article explained all the hints. I can’t believe I needed so many hints to find him!

Clap Bravo! At last you've found him - on his birthday. I knew about this man's existence since I was just ten years old.

I first heard of him while I studied literature. We went to Athens for a week, and Mycenae was one of the places we visited. I knew very little about his personal life, only that he had been a successful business man before he decided to become an amateur archeologist. But when you sent me to Turkey, my mind started working (about time, too!).

I’m sure you will find the next one before her birthday:
Female, alive.
