It's nice to see a tie on this poll.

Mr. Methane, a professional flatulist, has a good answer to your insightful question.

It is, and an interesting dynamic arises, because Genesis has the edge so far in the Genesis-King-Crimson Yes 3-way.

Genesis. For me they are definition of the art-rock and I deeply love each album with Gabriel.  I gave a listen to Genesis Revisited II by Hackett and I realised how much I love these songs. Supper's Ready is a massage to my ears. Also I enjoy listening to Post-Gabriel albums. Who doesn't have fun with " I Can't Dance " ?  It's not that I don't like Crimson, but most of their albums are too avantgarde/jazzy for me. I adore "Red" and  " Court " because they are quite easy to digest in. Also I think that their second album is so evil. It has specific atmosphere.. Well..

as a matter of fact, yes
I used to hate Nursery Cryme, but a couple of years have passed, and now I just love it. You may hate In the Court, but time does pass by.

CryCryCry I'm sad because someone apparently hates ITCOCK

i figure a warning from a mod would do the trick, i mean the more we accept this behavior and just go "oh you, what do we do about you?" the more he'll think it's ok and continue to be condescending to other users

It sure sounded like you got hurt from my opinion on not loving ITCOCK, that's all I was saying, I am sorry that it sounded so condescending

Not too tough for me. Genesis (pop albums considered and enjoyed). If we had this poll in `1970 and the choices were In The Court Of The Crimson King vs From Genesis To Revelations/Tresspass I would say King Crimson, but the Gabriel/Hackett days were phenominal, more than most prog bands could stand up to. I daresay my favorite band of all time Rush didn't produce the richness of prog in their hay day between Fly By Night and Motion Pictures(particularly the b-side of MP).

I don't get hurt by opinions. See, that would be stupid. If someone says that Brian Eno doesn't make music, I will ... "understand" that, but if that person starts rubbing it in on the forum, then it's a different story.

In the Court of the Crimson King (the original Crimso), then Genesis until Hackett left, then any version of Crimso. Genesis doesn't count after Hackett left...

I actually don't like the Court that much either. But Lizard, Larks Tongues, Starless, and Discipline would be my choice over any Genesis album any day.
