Youtube link that video, b*tch lol!

Unless there's a rule that says you can't suggest a NON Italian/RPI video in this thread?!

Or send me a message! Yeah, I tend to listen and become totally familiar with one album by an artist before moving on to the next...I've got all four Fruupp albums, btu only listened to the first two, while VdGG is I struggle to make much movement on despite owning many of their albums.

But don't get my wrong, I really love those Rush albums so far, so all in good time!

Pierre, I liked that Showmen track, the flute gets really messy and silly in a few spots, but other than that, nice track overall! Is that from a full album, or one of their singles?

The Testa track is sublime too!

I wouldn't bother with that new Syndone album - it's really rather poor. I was very disappointed with it but Todd reliably informs me it's not like their other stuff.

By the way, the Sensitiva Immagine that was brought up a few pages back - hadn't heard that one before, absolutely stunning!

Sensitiva Immagine - Who mentioned that, Chris, I'm trying to find it in the `search' fuction but no luck!

UPDATE - Sorry, I found it, Pierre's wonderful suggestion!

Sensitiva Immagine was an Italian group that released one album in the late seventies. The group consisted of Alfredo Olivieri (vocals), Massimo Buriani (guitars), Stefano Bertonazzi (keyboards), Andrea Pavinato (bass) and Franco Buriani (drums). The music is somewhat reminiscent of the other Italian symphonic groups like Locanda Delle Fate and later group Nuova Era but with some foreign influence as well.

Good luck to find it, guys !  Some informations here :

Michael, here ARE the two Showmen iI albums : Two albums, not the same title but the same tracks with different arrangements. Both are fantastic. Don't ask me to explain. Italy is a strange country.

Thanks, Pierre, very confusing story about the different album versions!

Nice little interview on that page too.

Pierre, here's a nice little instrumental track with flute, though it reminds me of Focus?

Le Impressioni - Promenade (1972)

oh, AEP, you made my day lol!

First of all, so cool that you like `III', but even better that I've now kind of been immortalised in a freaking GARY LARSON cartoon!!! Jim, I've got books and books of `The Far Side', and every now and then I show a particular cartoon to people at work, usually to blank expressions!

Have you ever read the `Prehistory of the Far Side'? It's worth checking out alone for all the `banned' or `misinterpreted' strips!

I've been told you need to have a particuarly warped sense of humour and outlook on life to `get' most Far Side's! I'm definately down with that!

I always thought this one was hilarious, but not one single person at work laughed even slightly...I thought it was pretty straight-forward and obvious too! Hope it's not too small to read.

LOL No one thought it was funny???

Oh and another LOL for AEP. Of course this is the place to recommend those well known bands too to the newcomers, you know there are a million more.

Sagi, NOT. ONE. PERSON thought that alien Far Side was funny, or even understood it, and like I stated, I always thought that one was pretty easy to understand!

Man, I remember breaking out into a cold sweat in the silent pause when people would read it over and over, and then ask for it to be explained - just HORRIBLE lol!

Pierre, that Roberto Colombo track is fantastic!! Great crisp production too!! Is it easily available on CD, I would love to hear more of it! Is it mostly instrumental like much of that piece was?

Michael, I just ordered the CD 5 minutes ago for 20 euros. Years I was looking for it. The thread brought me luck this morning. Hug

Pierre, where did you order it from?!

Have you ever ordered anything through the vendors on Discogs.com?

Don't be jealous, but I've found too and for the same price the Sensitiva Immagine's album this morning.

No worries, Pierre, you know to look out for those particular obscure items! Sometimes you can just be lucky enough to be searching for a particularly rare/obscure album just as a single copy become available!
