Hello Kati/Sonia!

You were asking for some instrumental tracks that you might enjoy, why not check out this one:

GRAN TURISMO VELOCE - Quantocamia

Sorry to Jim, Pierre and all the others, they know how many times I've posted this video in the past!

Actually, the band also has a really good vocalist if you want to explore further!

That was cool and interesting...where were they playing at?

Looks like an old castle or cathedral, with pretty good acoustics (did not see any microphones).

Damn, Jim, for some reason at work here none of the Youtube clips are showing up, so I'll have to look into them later on tonight!

I even blindly posted my Veloce one before without even being able to see the finished results!

Of course, I know in my mind it's MIND-BLOWING!

^ Michael, Hopefully your place of work has not firewalled streaming stuff like mine has.

Oh, even though not RPI for this thread, but based on your fine review of Zerothehero, I got it and have only been through half of it so far, but what I have heard I like.  I need to give it a better undistracted listen this weekend.

It seems to be blocking everything at the moment, AEP! I'll check into all these submitted links when I'm back home!

Yes, that Carlo guy aka Zerothehero it IS an Italian artist, just not working in the RPI genre for that release! I hope you like it, it's a really lovely album! Report back after you've given it a few spins if you like it too!

In case I don't get a chance later, I want wish all the gang here in the RPI den a Safe and Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays.  I appreciate the welcome and guidance you have shown this RPI newbie.

Still hard for me to believe after all these years I never heard any of this great stuff until a few months ago...awesome!

It might be Flash & Firefox clashing - that's what's doing it to me I think CryHead on wall

Cool Arpia clip, Jim! I assume the album to start with them would be the less-metal most recent one? Lovely lady singer, good band overall!

Pierre - I'm not a fan of that Analogy album, pretty sure if I recall the vocals were all over the place and very insonsistent?!

Dread - forget to mention a page or so back how cool that Pangea album is, lots of variety! Can't believe how much that first rack sounds like Floyd lol!

The ARPIA's album is a grower and the studio sound is much better than in this cathedral. For me who only appreciate the first Floyd album, Pangea is really welcome.

Yes! Heaps, huh? I know, a loving tribute perhaps? I should do a review of it (or any other RPI gem) haven't done one for a while now. You've been on fire too, with your reviews of late, nice work!

AEP, thanks for your message, have a good Christmas! Plenty of great stuff for you to discover in the New Year, and the journey keeps going on and on!

In case I don't get another chance (yeah, right, I'm on here all the damn time! ), I just want to say in particular to my RPI friends:

Jim, both Andrea's, Dread, Chris, Todd, Pierre, Sagi, Paul, AEP Jim and the energetic newie Kati/Sonia...

Thanks so much for making this awful year for me so much easier, for constantly fuelling my passion for progressive music, and especially RPI, for providing so many laughs, for sharing so many wonderful musical suggestions and just your all-round genuine personalities and friendship!

Onwards and upwards for us all in 2013!

As I head to bed before getting up for work in five hours, I'll leave with this powerful piece:

Raccomandata con Ricevuta di Ritorno - "Il Fuoco":

Wonderful combination of male and female voices, grand chorus and reflective somber verses...I love this sad track.

It's off their most recent album `Il Pittore Volante', which I've had for a couple of years, but only starting to really appreciate it now.

Now if someone could find a video/audio/Youtube file of their track `Il Vecchio' from the same album, please post it! New listners will be in for a treat!
