Lost Pt. 2? Why do you listen to Lost in parts?
Nevertheless, an amazing song and one of my favorites.

^ Originally, I wasn't listening to it in parts, but then the second part ... it just really got me at the time.

Johnny was a schoolboy
When he heard his first Beatles song
Love Me Do, I think it was
And from there it didn't take him long
Johnny got a guitar, used to play it every night
Now he's in a rock and roll outfit, and everything's all right

two observations:
The pacing of the narrative is a bit whacked. That's a lot of historical ground for just the first verse.
If the had just ended the song here, Johnny would have been much happier, don't you knowwwww.

Not knocking your song choice of course. Just 2 things that always struck me about that tune.

Agalloch - ...And the great cold death of the earth
Dig me...But don't...Bury me
I'm running still, I shall until, one day, I hope that I'll arrive
Warning: Listening to jazz excessively can cause a laxative effect.

The Doors - Love her madly.

That song would have been very very poor or/and meaningless if (lyrics) just had ended as you said.

"Jonny's life passed him by like a warm summer day
If you listen to the wind
You can still hear him play"

It's ended so beautiful.

Just my opinion, of course.

Oh yes, I know... I was kind of joking in my post, sorry if that didn't translate.  I was just thinking of poor Johnny, and how they could have saved him a lot of grief if they'd just ended the song while things were going so well for him. Big smile

Solution - New Dimension

I simply adore the entire 'Divergence' album. I think it's muscled it's way into my top 10.
