I do believe that show (BBC 2's Rock Family Trees) were based on the work of Pete Frame - that "prog tree" is among his projects. You can find it in his official site (sadly, you have to buy it to see it big): http://www.familyofrock.com/browse/details/progrock.html

This is it! Thanks, man!
I ve found one from School of Rock, too (lol):

The question mark one. LOL

What did you mean? the interrogation above Frank Zappa and Can? Well, i supose its a sence of ´´alternative prog´´ they put.

You could say that. Smile I just found it entertaining that they made a "?" section.

Zappa (as the Mothers of Invention started in 1965) his place in the chart makes no sense chronologically, geographically or musically.

I don't think a chart like that makes sense ... not even close, when it is not knowledgable enough about the history of music and many other artists ... which is a problem ... most folks that write about Progressive Music and Prog, do not know a whole lot about more than one area ... so if someone "knows" London, for the most part ehy will never know California ... or NY ... you do realize that all that art and movies, and writers, and music in NY never existed and was not "progressive" ... right?

And many of them will out live a lot of the "progressive" folks and its history makers because of it!

Frank deserves a lot more credit than ever ... but he is not appreciated because of his humor more often than not ... since most people are too stuck up inside to be able to get beyond that ... to notice that there is some unbelievably great music here ... and you are talking about a mind that COMPOSED like 99% of his rock comtemporaries never did! His worst nightmare was having to translate all that to his players ... and this is quite vivid in 200 Motels, btw!
Music is not just for listening ... it is for LIVING ... you got to feel it to know what's it about! Not being told!

Can't agree more.
