Finally it clicked: Oriana Fallaci. I found all the hints, many of them quite morbid: The Tlatelolco massacre, the cemetery, the death of Alexandros Panagoulis.
I must admit that even if she’s very famous, I found this one rather tricky. I’ll be back tomorrow with a new one.

Well done at last! I tried to avoid giveaway hints. My original idea for a hint at Panagoulis would be just "A man", but that would have been a straight giveaway: Oriana Fallaci would have popped up as the first search hit.
