Hard to sleep in winter. My lake is frozen and I slide on the surface of my sleep.

Just found this on Mats site. MALLEUS : PARANORM (1988) Some Jacula echoes. Very rare it seems. Not bad at all.

Pierre, surely chilly music like this will only freeze your lake even more!

This album sounds very interesting! I'm a big Rex/Jacula fan, so you've got my attention!

I looked it up on google, seems there was a CD re-release with a different cover in 1996?

I'm going to investigate further!

Listen to the other tracks on Mats site. Very different. A little too much Vangelissimo for me.

ANGELO BRANDUARDI - 1974

Always like the first Branduardi's album with its soft jazz feeling.

Pierre, I've heard the first 30 or so minutes of that Malleus album, you're right, it's quite similar to Vangelis in places, but darker. Many little bits reminded me of the more gothic moments of that all-girl Japanese trio Ars Nova?

Jim, if you get a chance to hear it, I'm sure you'll pick up that it sounds quite a lot like the `modern' Antonius Rex albums! But I'm pretty sure 1996 means it was almost a decade before the Rex comeback started? It's a little more ambient in places, but pretty effective overall. It seems to have a lot of the darkly classical elements of Rex, but none of actual menace and sinister parts.

It's very interesting, I think I'd be quite interested in picking up the CD if I can come across it! Time to search Ebay/Synphonic, etc!

Andrea, thanks for the recent update with the free link for the album by Glincolti on the `Journey Through the Italian Prog Scene' thread! Going to give it a spin on the way into work tomorrow morning!

Yeah, Pierre, just found one (bid only, I think) for $24.95 US, plus (for me to Australia) $14 US shipping, but it IS a vinyl LP version!! I think I'll keep an eye on it, but I can't really afford too many luxury buys this week, just had to pay my car registration two days ago - $696!!! :(

Hi guys.

Pierre, what do you think about the second album by Ivano Fossati titled Goodbye Indiana (1975)? Similar to his debut.

Indiana is nice too, especially the background vocals.

It's been a long time since I haven't been talking about that great album. Still love it.
