"Dismember", one of many great tracks from Spoon's debut album (1996), one of my favorite albums of that decade.  The group got kind of refined and semi-complex later on, but on this album they're still pretty punky, though they do love to play in odd time signatures.

Sublime. The early Mothers at their best.

Me:  only one listen to a CD just purchased today clinched it for The Ex, kind of the Dutch post-punk equivalent to RIO.  30 years strong and 20+ albums, this being from the most recent one.  I've got a few others by them that I've collected slowly over the last couple of decades, and each time I get a new one I'm amazed at how good they are and why I haven't been more vigilant about collecting their stuff.

Anything with Popol Vuh. Listening to Seligpreisung right now. Just so beautiful and calm - keeps me from exploding after a faaaaar too long work day, meeting at new college afterwards, plus an hour long bus drive home.
This music gives me strength as well as peace. Just what the doctor prescribed.

When I first heard it I absolutely hated it, but for me those are usually the ones that I end up liking the most.

Anyway, for me: Feng Shui - Ozric Tentacles

I'm not sure: Extradition's "Dear One" or Renaissance's "Black Flame". I know that if I choose one, the other one will slap my a$& real hard.

Fine. "Black Flame" it is. ... Ouch!
