Nice to see GTV. Even if I'm not fan of the guitarist, I really like their "Fish" album

I know that you are not into their "metal" guitars. But listen to the third vid I posted. That should be much more in the style you like (very cool 70ties soundtrack cover)

Nice. I always loved Micalizzi and his stretched romanticism. But everybody knows that I'm a fan of italian soundtracks. After all they brought me here.

Wow, wonderful GTV clips, TheH!!
REALLY hope we get another album from then soon! Hey Pierre, I've been listening to that E.A.Poe album at work twice right now, I think I might be updating my original opinion that `The first two tracks are better than everything else on it' - the whole album is pretty much damn good!! |

I love the weary sound of the singer's voice, and the occasional slightly darker/sinister turns the music takes! What a terrific album!
I liked it when I got the LP reissue years ago, then it's kind of sat on my shelf unappreciated for a while now, but since it was mentioned I've been giving it a proper play again, and I think there's not a bad track on it! Perhaps RPI newcomer AEP might like to look into it! |

Yes, E.A.P is not for from A.E.P
![]() Do you know this rare album from the late seventies, only in LP ? Full of fantasy. I like it very much. ![]() |

Not aware of that album, Pierre, but I'll give those clips a listen when I'm home in a few hours!
I like the comic book cover! The figure reminds me of the comic character that is (was?) quite popular in Australia called The Phantom! The costume kind of looks the same, except for the colour! ![]() |

AEP says EAP is PEA (prog excellent artist)...I know pretty lame ![]() I found 4 of the 7 songs on Youtube and did enjoy them! This album also has been added to the ever growing list. Curious, the cover appears to look like a young owl rather than a raven if that is what it is. Thanks again for the tip! There are soooo many links you guys have posted on this thread that it will take me 10 years to discover them all

Wow, Pierre, that Gran Disordine album sounds really decent!
Why no CD version yet? I bet you, Todd and Jim could offer endless RPI album suggestions that are awaiting a reissue of some sort?! Some albums get re-released over and over, but some remain lost to the ages! ![]() |

I went ahead and sprung for the E.A. Poe album. I got one good listen in so far today, much better than listening to it on Youtube, very good!
On iTunes, I have seen recommendations for Panna Fredda - Uno when I look up albums in this genre. It is also on Jim's 25 list. I have not tried seeing if it was on the tube yet, just curious what you guys think of it?

Panna Fredda is wonderfull. the album starts with a simple riff ,then becomes more and more complex and mysterious. The last song : Il vento, la luna e pulcini blu, with the harpsichord and the spanish atmosphere is awesome.

MU is really great outside and inside and has a strong closer in it (Corpi di Creta). That moog sound is ...wow! Edited by Andrea Cortese - November 18 2012 at 16:10 |

Fantastic sound ! Cocciante was a popular singer in france in the eighties. His music was a nightmare for me, escpecially a hit named "Coup de soleil" : If someone had told me that one day I would appreciate a part of his work, I would not have believed him.

Ha, what a co-incidence!! I just listened to that one only yesterday! It's very decent, I bought the lovely thick vinyl reissue a few months ago! Some of the arrangements are a little simplistic, except for the final track which is very involved and intricate. Like the E.A.Poe album, it's got these occasional darker moments that come out of nowhere, listen to the second half of the first track. The singer has quite a gravelly voice too! Yet another example of a `one and done' RPI band that gave us a single wonderful album to treasure. ![]() |
