Recorded in 1979 but released in 1980, the beautiful album of gentle prog by Pierpaolo Bibbo. Do yourselves a favour and check out the other YT vids of Diapason. Love it...

^ Love the Alphataurus - Croma piece. I need to give the others a listen as well as the Bibbo link above by 7, too little time!
I just added Il Balletto Di Bronzov-Ys to my collection today. Going on the 2nd listen, what a landscape it portrays in the brain.

After 2 years, YS is still new. This is that kind of record.
Try the Cervello's Melos next. You're going to fall out of your chair |

Yeah, I think it's actually a different album, now that I actually look at it properly. Greg has me on a bit of a wait list for it, so fingers crossed. In the meantime I've ordered Maxophone, as I've been meaning to buy it for some years now |

By the way, speaking of Pierpaolo Bibbo, I saw in the BTF newsletter that he has a new album out. I'm interested in hearing that one!

A. SORRENTI-Come Un Vecchio Incensiere All'alba Di Un Villaggio Deserto (The most extensive, fascinating, experimental, disturbing and controversial song of all RPI.)

Pierre, EMI has blocked viewing of that video in the USA. Bummer! I want to hear it. I'll have to investigate.

Wow, the chair was shaking indeed... On one listen, it went over a lot of ground. There were some other stringed instruments that I was not quite sure what they were, banjo or slower mandolin or other? The flute/sax mix were very good. Ys seemed to be more accessable to me after one listen, Melos would take more spins to appreciate it all. Very cool!

Not being well versed in RPI yet to guess, shall I dare ask what is your first favourite RPI album is?

You may indeed! I bet you know it - Osanna's MASTERPIECE: Palepoli. One of the first RPI albums I purchased actually.

Frankly, AEP, I just can't name only one album, but Cervello's melos, Delirium III, I giganti's Terra in boca, the three first Banco and Battisti's Anima latina are among my favourites.

All are high in my list too. I would add Maxophone, Palepoli, Balletto and well...how can you not include at least one album from PFM and Banco. |
