I know what you mean about antidote to depression.  I have a few albums like that.

The only grindcore band I like is Pig Destroyer but I haven't heard much grindcore.

I've liked pretty much all grindcore I've looked into, but that's probably because I take recommendations from people who know the genre better than I.
