Ardbeg, in any vintage.
Redbreast for Irish whiskey. After that, Jameson's. I also like to look for independent labellers to get primo scotch for reduced cost.

It's probably good, but I sincerely doubt it's $159,800 better than Johnnie Walker Blue kind of good.

Never had a true Scotch Scotch that I liked. But I love this one, can't really afford it though.
![]() They did a blended version about 15 years ago that was incredible as well. |

Had excellent echoes of that SM that Glen Breton develops... kind of expensive, though!!
but someday, I may splurge if I find it on this side of the pond.

Aberlour cask strength, entirely raised and matured in Oloroso sherry casks...
This is almost red (copper) looking... Cask strength too...
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/A'bunadh Fuuuuuuck... Aberlour was coming close to overcomming Macallan as my fave Speyside, but with this one, I thnk they just skidded in as Spey kings... |

I wish I could try the cask strength and above. Arberlour 12 was my least favorite single malt so far (tried maybe 15). Way too much of an alcohol burn. Anyway, bump for updates. Being as I'm still new to the game, I think I might be able to name all of the whiskeys I've had: Samples I've had: Lagavulin 12 Oban 14 Springbank 10 Ardbeg 10 Bunnahabain 12 Highland Park 18 Glenlivet 18 Glenfidditch 15 Macallan 18 Bottles I've had: Macallan 12 Glanmorangie Quinta Ruban Laphroaig 10 Glenfidditch 12 Cragganmore 12 Arbelour 12 Plus one or two I've forgotten. I only had the slightest of sips of the Macallan 18, but it was seriously f**king good. Highland Park 18 is next, and probably Springbank 10 after. I'm trying to get into the Islay malts, but it's difficult.

Jameson is fantastic. And Sonia, please try some bottles of Japanese whisky (Nikka Miyagikyo, Suntory Yamazaki are highly recommended for you).

Picked up some Glenfiddich 15yr. Beautiful stuff. Don't claim to be an expert by any means but man, WoW.
