I don't really hear much prog in it actually. It's okay, not quite my style.

So is anyone going to give me feedback about the lyrics I posted? I'd like some. I'm not too confident in my lyrical abilities, so I'd like some opinions.

I'm not so much into lyrics that I could offer any real insight, but if my overall lyrics view goes like "10% exceptional, 80% ok if there's a good melody and a good singer, 10% bad stuff detracting from the enjoyment I get from the song", this stuff lands definitely somewhere in the 80%. With the little experiments into lyric writing that I've had, I've found that the best critic is the next day. If I can still live with the stuff after a good sleep, it's probably a passable piece of lyrics. There's a reason why my music has so far been instrumental...

A question for our Norwegian friends -- are you familiar with a musician named Lars Pedersen (or his musical project called "When"?). I picked up a WHEN cd yesterday and it's pretty cool, but I can't find much written about them, and it's not on PA. He was also involved with a group a long time ago called THE LAST JAMES, and I have their album "Kindergarten" as well. Just wondered if you guys knew of him or had any background info. There is a Wikipedia entry but wondered what else you knew.

I will probably post more now that I finally rebuilt my PC. I've been without desktop for 5 months until yesterday afternoon. The shaking still hasn't subsided.

Been getting back into UFO recently. One of those bands i grew up with, but never had the chance to see live, though i really wanted to. They have rarely played in Canada. My favorites of theirs are Phenomenon, Obsession and The Wild, The Willing and The Innocent.

I also have year round congestion, not in my nose, but in my throat. Have to hack some up every hour or so, and it flares up at night. had it for a few years now. |
