I joined Rate Your Music. To my delight, they had my favorite album, Helmut Koellen's solo album You Won't See Me listed there, so i was able to review it!Tongue I tried unsuccessfully to have Mr. Koellen entered into the PA discography, first as Prog related, then as Crossover Prog, but no such luck. But at Rate Your Music, and also Discogs, i was able to have a review done of that album.

I like it - it's got a cool, dark melody to it reminding me of the mellotron theme from Cirkus. Are you going to elaborate on it more? I wouldn't consider a song technically, with all due respect.

To prequote A Person "I have never heard anything from Canned Heat".  One of those classic rock bands that I have been aware of for years and years, but don't know that I have ever heard anything from them. Embarrassed

That's not unusual at all, really.  They're a fairly above-average blues band from the late 60s., One of their two lead singers sounds like Kermit the Frog, and the other is a big guy named "The Bear".  "Going Up the Country" is probably the one song you've heard (sung by the Kermit guy), they played it at Woodstock.

I was archiving some of my music over the weekend, and pulled out the Heat because I hadn't heard it in a long time.  I have a low tolerance for "boogie rock", but a lot of this stuff is quite nice..

I think that I can picture the "Going Up The Country" song, as sung by Kermit.  Let me YouTube it and see if it is what I am thinking it is.

Yep.  I have heard that one before. Actually, I just checked my iTunes and I have a live copy of that song from a King Biscuit Flower Hour compilation.  I also have the song On The Road Again from a different compilation CD.

ture, they're kind of a cross between Can, This Heat, and Opposite Day.
