I haven't had the chance to listen yet, but I am interested to hear what it sounds like.  I've had a love/hate relationship with the Flaming Lips for a long time now.

I haven't quite figured out where I stand with the Flaming Lips.  Kind of a like/indifference relationship with them.

They've done some really amazing things, but: a) they come off as a bit too "cute" and coy a lot of the time (egged on by their proudly freakish fan base), and b) the singer's voice bothers me.

There are a couple of tracks on here that are just plain awful.  You guys would love them.  Check out Khaotic Life by Boris Savoldelli/Elliott Sharp and At the Temple Gate by Geoff Leigh/Yumi Haral.

Sonic Youth sounds like something I'd like, especially when I heard of all their no-wave influences, but I can't get into 'em.
Not too big on Arcade Fire, but they do some pretty solid indie-rock.

I tried this link, but it takes forever to load (but i'm on dialup)
        I thrive on jazz rock fusion. and love Soft Machine's jazz rock period, especially Seven. Some other bands i like are Brainstorm, Passport, Colosseum, If, Dedalus, Contraband, Frob, Nucleus, Solution
