Yeah, thanks, I forgot to react to it. I actually checked it myself after lazily asking Tongue I always regress to a googleless existence when I spend some time in Shred.

I'll see if it's in my regular store tomorrow, and if not, then order it.

How are Kayo Dot btw? Is it a band I would like, I wonder...What album would be a good Kayo Dot starting point for someone who's not well acquainted with the avant side of prog, like me?

i'm getting a new Mouth guard this week (I grind my teeth when i sleep like crazy) I have to wear it every nite so i grind the guard, and not my teeth
My previous guard became too loose, and was falling out of my teeth
Luckily the Dental lab is giving me the replacement, man, they cost over $400.00

Kayo Dot are brilliant at best and really intensely weird and interesting at worst. I suppose Choirs of the Eye might be the best starting point, being the best album according to almost everyone including me, and in a way perhaps the most "normal". It's at times extremely dark and heavy, at times very still and misty. If metal is not that big a thing for you, then perhaps Coyote.

Go here and download motW's Part the Second: http://www.maudlinofthewell.net/ It's by far the closest to anything resembling classic prog from the Toby Driver projects. And it's incredibly awesome.

Thanks for your opinion, Pekka. Much appreciated! Will check out both bands soon.

Oh, and the Metal part of it I guess I'll be fine with. I quite like Metal. It's the Avant part I'm worried aboutLOL

Happy to help!

We're such new acquaintances that I can't really say I know your tastes beyond the ratings list I just checked, if you like Comatorium worth five stars I think there's hope Smile But Kayo is on a completely different level of weird. I suppose at least Part the Second might well be to your liking.

I do that too.  I find life is sometimes more interesting if you interact and ask questions, rather than just look up any question you don't know the answer to.    You know, to see what they think.  I was on another forum one time, and I'd ask a general question of people, what their opinion was of ________ (name of band/artist).  And before I knew it, three people would copy and paste the Wikipedia entry into the thread like they were doing me a big favor.  Sh*t, I could have done that myself, you knobhead.  Sometimes I just want to hear what THEY think.  Know wot I mean?  People don't really do that here.  They use their brains an impressively high percentage of the times.

I seem to have drifted off my main point, which was _______ .
