ehh you know it totally sucks and being home is so much more fun. But you kinda get used to it. It's not that the suckage levels decrease just your resistance levels increase.

For example we had these two day week and then we went home for Yom Kippur (Day of Atonement blurgh). So the first day we really just did nothing the whole time. We just studied by ourselves for f**king 6 hours straight. It was so boring that the moment I had the opportunity to guard the area or whatever I just jumped on it. Anyhoo so y'know whatever wasting our lives and sh*t and so at night, they decide to make us run the 2K. Y'know, whatever, foods all up in your throat but you don't care cuz you're going home the day after. So after we're all disgusting and sweaty, they decide to make us put our uniforms on again, with full preparation or whatever (meaning we needed to fill up on our ammo, and f**king oil our weapons and such bizarre sh*t) and all in under 7 minutes. Obviously nobody was able to finish it all the way, so as punishment they made us take two stretchers which were filled up with sacks of sand. Now, because the Sergeant noticed that we had 32 separate f**k-ups with such things as missing ammo, un-oiled weapons and such sh*t, we needed to walk around the base with the stretchers for 32 minutes. Frankly we ran most of the time.

Well it sucked horse sh*t didn't it? But the moment you're done with you're so elated and happy with yourself for finishing with that crap that it almost, ALMOST, makes it worth the crap you just went through. In many ways you do feel like you are getting stronger, mentally that is. But it's hard, it's very hard. The homesickness is always there, and frankly I miss my family lots when I'm there. Plus y'know, running around, doing pointless tasks, kitchen duties, it's all a part of a very annoying routine. But hell, the whole boot camp phase is over in a month! And after that things won't be as manically strict and useless.

Those sergeants are only a year older than you and they get to boss you around like hell. I'm sure you know the rest of your service will be nothing like that. Happy holidays!

yeah it's probably the dumbest part about it. But oh well... you just have to ignore it really. My Sergeant's ok actually, it's my commander who is just horrible.

And yeah I can't wait for the rest of my service it'll probably be mad interesting :D

AND IN OTHER NEWS NEW DEATH GRIPS ALBUM AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

I'd post it but the album cover is a penis... so.... just google it.

Saw Anathema last night. I don't know their music too well (I've only heard Judgement, A Fine Day To Exit and A Natural Disaster), so I didn't know most of the songs they played (probably a lot from their newest album), but it was alright. Not great, but OK.

Also, I missed OriCry I see the army's treating you like armies does. God, I don't miss my time in the army! Glad those days are over! Hope you enjoy the rest of your days off before you go back.

I was never in the army, but I had a couple of hard ass baseball and basketball coaches who inspired me to abandon sports and follow my musical interests more strongly.

I hate being yelled at, so I probably couldn't either.

I'm lazy, out of shape, and hate authority figures so military service would be like hell. Luckily they don't let people with type one in.
