This album sure is a winner. "Seasons" and "The Prophecy" are two of my favourite songs this year. It is classic Hawkwind with an edge of 2012ness. |

`Onward' was a great album! Generally no duds on it, all great quality, despite the obligatory `remake' tracks that the band still persists with!
I did kind of feel that it came out fairly quickly after the previous `Blood Of The Earth' album, so maybe fans were just a little burned out?! |

I think it's even better than Blood of the Earth, which is saying a lot. I feel like they're playing on the "cutting edge" rather than living in the past, something they've been guilty of before. I think Onward might be one of their best albums in 40 years of album making.

Holy, was just listening to it at work right now, and kept on thinking `Man, this is such a good album'!
Yeah, I agree, they sound very modern and fresh, rejuvinated, even with the usual plodding riffs and swirling effects thrown in for good measure! I even picked up a slight Porcupine Tree influence throughout some moments on it. I especially like the instrumental track `Southern Cross', lovely track! The instrumental piece `The Drive By' is absolutely stunning! Very melodic (surprisingly for Hawkwind!) drifting guitar solos with catchy beats and electronic elements - To be honest, the Ozric Tentacles haven't made a track this good in years, as much as I still like them.
