What makes one a true shredder?

I'm still learning myself, but it's surprisingly easy to pick up if you hang around long enough. I think the term "true shredder" has more to do with longevity -- this thread has existed in some form for years, and a few people have been around that long, though some like me have only frequented it for a few months.

The ability to continue to post in a meaningless thread multiple times a day discussing mostly nothing of any real importance and once in awhile getting involved in a discussion about something progressive rock related.

Back when I was there, the only interesting local band I knew of was Polvo (I actually worked at a job with one of the guys in that band). The rest of the groups were wimpy REM clones.  This was 1992 or so.

I went to a couple of Durham Bulls games.  Good fun.

Went every week to a great pizza place called Satisfaction, I think it's still there.
