I thought that I might try listening to Yanqui U.X.O. on Spotify since that is the one GY!BE that I haven't heard.  Not sure that I want to scrobble ockets fall on Rocket Falls though.

Just read Steve's description in the other thread and it really doesn't sound like something I would like.  Especially if it is even slower than their other albums.

Very much so! Been a while since I listened to anything not at least prog related.

Glad to save you some time.  It's an agonizing 77 minutes of music.  (which I love).

Interesting concept, "Straight prog".

I mean things like symph prog, I mostly listen to more fringe things like metal/post rock/etc that aren't necessarily 'prog rock".

I've been hearing them mentioned a lot, but I'm unfamiliar with them.

Yes, I am afraid that listening to it would be agonizing to me.

Funny how Canterbury prog used to be my favorite back when I was first discovering it, but I rarely listen to any Canterbury anymore except for the Soft Machine.

Yeah I would say King Crimson is my favorite #1 band, but I hardly ever listen to them.

I don't listen to much of anything anymore.  But yeah, I've not had a hankering for Canterbury in some time.  Probably because I played everything to death a while back.

Me too.  You can only listen to "Winter Wine" so many times before the wonderment wears off.  At least for me. I still think it's a masterpiece, but I don't feel the urge to hear it much.
