Bougth the album 5 times in the last 20 years:
Vinyl, CD, Mobile Fidelity Sound, Remaster, Japanese mini-lp. I'll pass on this one as i'll surely buy the 50th anniversary edition. |

Do you like the MFSL cd? I have A Passion Play on gold and notice a vast improvement in the sound. Off topic, but just curious. |

Yes the sound quality is excellent and really clear. The only gripe i have with it is that the audio is too quiet, you really have to crank your system to the max to hear it well. |

I'd get a copy but I am out of money and have already spent too much on remasters anyway. But if you be a newbie and unacquainted with the album it is a worthy member for your collection. :)

If the ELP remasters are anything to go by then this will be a treat.

I like how Steven Wilson is envolved in remastering album classics. He's done so well it. Loved his work on the king crimson albums, especially IN THE COURT OF THE CRIMSON KING.

Well of course, you have Steven Wilson's re-mixing into 5.1 of Jethro Tull Aqualung??? It is beyond belief good. Sounds like that record was recorded in 2012 NOT 1971. I am positive Thick As A Brick will be a stunner as well. I can't wait. I am currently enjoying the new SW ELP 5.1 mixes, more than should be legal. What a treasure of a remixing into surround! |

Wait, the cd is 5.1 as well? Will you be able to get the cd without the dvd? Getting the cd/dvd package with the book might be expensive.

No, the DVD is 5.1.
No to your second question. From BurningShed, it is $35 shipped to the US but I'm guessing the retail price will be around $30, that's pretty good for a 104 page hardback book and the CD/DVD. |

Can't wait.
If you can only buy one version of this great album you might as well buy the best. Until next time? 10 years down the track? |
