I voted cats because my 19 year old Tui would protest if I didn't.  But, between you and me, thinking long term, I would probably have more trouble living without chocolate.  The poll clearly needed another choice - Both are as essential as water and air.

here is my Tui at 17, mere weeks after a stroke.  He is now 19 and doing pretty well.  He doesn't go out anymore

Both are delicious and taste great! Even though Chocolate sometimes is a healthier alternative, I do love cat tails; yummmy. Cats for the win
