They are a good classic rock band. A bit too country sounding at times for my tastes, but they have two greatest hits worth of albums stocked full of pretty good classic rock songs.

I have a few Eagles LPs on vinyl. I like "One of These Nights" and "The Long Run", they're both solid albums. And I guess I like about half of "Hotel California" too. But yeah, when they get too country, I shy away. Lots of people say "Desperado" is their best album (a concept album too!), but when they're wearing cowboy gear on the cover, I can't help but be wary.

I saw the Steve Miller Band live once. It seemed to attract a lot of very young hippie want-to-bes and pot smokers. I enjoyed the show, but not so much the atmosphere.

I look at the PA front page for the first time in a long time and what do my eyes see but a new release from local band Tiles. It is a live album, which I had heard rumors of when I saw them live a couple of years ago, but I had not heard anything since. Sounds like I might have to keep my eyes open to see if they are doing any local shows to promote it.
