I am fed up with the manufactured outrage against every minute detail that could possibly interpreted negatively. It's so phony and childish. I have to wonder if politicians ever wake up in the morning and realize the absurdity of it all.

I will still probably vote for him anyway. Sad. But true.

Even the conservative radio shows do that sh*t, but they mask it with "exposing hypocrisy." f**k you- you don't talk important issues either. You just complain about the same sound bytes or you whine about something. In the end, politics in America is a team sport, and people are just trying to earn points for their team. When both teams realize they are losing either way, maybe then things will get better. |

I won't. He's done nothing to deserve my vote, and if that means four more years of this hypocrite we have now, fine. Won't make no nevermind to me. If I bother to show up this year, I'll write in Ron Paul. Wasted vote? Yeah, but maybe the voter will be wasted when he casts it... |

I'm so sick of US politics. Look at these headlines:

What you said about scoring points is dead on, Rob, and yet nobody actually cares about the gaffes and non-issues that dominate the headlines. No Democrat is going to vote for Romney because Obama had a slip of the tongue, and no Republican will vote for Obama because of a Paul Ryan quote taken out of context.
I wish elections would focus on the issues people actually care about (like "do you want more government or less government?" "do you think stimulus or deregulation is a better way to decrease unemployment?") instead of focusing on what kind of car Ann Romney drives or whether Obama eating arugula makes him out of touch. |

Did you see Gov. Purdue's speech? She spoke at my college graduation when she was Lt. Gov. I remember sitting there shaking my head thinking, "I don't share hardly any values with this woman." |

And while I'm losing my sh*t tonight, f**k you Hank Williams, Jr.
Obama a Muslim? He says he's comfortable with gay marriage and drinks beer. His wife shows her legs. If he's a Muslim, then he sucks at it. Thanks though for making Southerners looked more retarded than we are. |

Yeah I have to agree, it was almost unwatchable, they would've done
everyone a favor by simply having a two-hour thing and be done with it.
I've voted Dem in every election I can recall and I'll be voting for Obama again because I like his policies and he's so friggin smart and cool. But I think he's in trouble not from disheartened supporters, but from people who in fact like what he's done, will say 'Thank you very much Mr. President, now I want to see what a businessman can do for us', and vote for Romney. The election is not unlike Carter-Reagan in that way (minus the Iran hostage thing of course). |

Well, it's one thing to debate whether the stimulus/bailouts help their respective industries. If they did then that might be better than letting them fail. If they didn't, well that should be obvious enough, though I haven't cared enough to investigate. But it's kind of silly to call Congress/Exec office out on spending the taxpayer's money just because they did. I mean, that's kind of their raison d'etre. And Obama was basically handed a sh*tty deal, although he did seat himself at the poker table. Two wars, a tanking economy, debt, and the health care issue, plus all the other garbage that comes with a bloated expansionist government. The Bush presidency was a disaster that carried over into Obama's, ad while I won't say his whole policy was a success, Obama has effectively taken foreign policy off the table by handling it so well. At least through the eyes of modern mainstream politics. Since both of the main parties are expansionist and interventionist in all thing foreign policy and economy, I doubt there's much grounds for Libertarians to celebrate. Drones and military budgets are ridiculous and should be cut back of course, and Obama is to blame for these things, at least with the assassination crimes. And while it is no excuse, I would have to note that neither McCain nor Romney would have acted for the better, and possibly for the worse in foreign policy. And to me, at this point, Mittens seems basically to be advocating trickle-down economics, austerity, and crony capitalism. What a joy for the middle class this must be.

Isn't it interesting how the same people who screamed and howled about the Iraq war being imperialistic are now praising the foreign policy of a man who invaded Libya and still has troops in Afghanistan? I think Obama has done okay on foreign policy, but certainly not great. Great would be finishing the wars we started and not starting any new ones. |

Well, Afghanistan is kind of a disaster. Iraq is apparently more manageable. I doubt we would be there if we din't have to be. Maybe if their police force could hold its own weight without infiltrators killing our troops... And I agree, Libya was a disaster for me too, and it is worth reminding about. The underlying issue is US intervention for US interests, and the legality is very up in the air. I'm seriously pissed at Obama for that, and the blame lays squarely on his office. But I am always drawn to whether Mitt would do better, and I always feel the answer is no. So I guess I could vote third party as a protest, and lead to another 2000 election type situation. What joy that could bring... I'm not calling his foreign policy a resounding success, certainly not the ideal. We are better off now than 4 years ago in that area. It is troubling to think where we might go in the future. And I don't want a vote for Obama to be seen as condoning this post-9/11 kind of foreign policy. But the problem is it is endemic within both parties. Obama will continue it; Mitt will continue it. Paul wouldn't have, but we see where we got there....

^Not good. Because people should do whatever the hell they want. But at the same time, I'm not deciding who to vote for based on their positions of legalization of pot.
