I am listening to Garybaldi's Astrolabio on a daily basis. I love that album. So much better than the debut. Haven't heard the Gleemen release, but I have a hard time imagining it being better than Astrolabio though. RPI meets Jimi Hendrix and psychedelia. What's not to likeHeart

^ Heartily agreed, David! Astrolabio is a wonderful album, better than Nuda, which is better than Gleemen. La Bambibanda is a pretty good follow up, but it seems like everything goes downhill at that point. If you're going to have one Garybaldi in your collection (and I think everyone should have at least one), make it Astrolabio!

^ That's my favorite pre-1970 RPI album.

Really nice. Almost music for the dance floor. Reminds me of L'Uovo Di Colombo sometimes.

I really dig that Bambibanda one too. Great Santana vibe.

Here's a track teaser from the recent sessions--and by the way, if you haven't heard their Live in Bloom album, you need to know that this band is really in excellent form!

They certainly are Todd!

Funny, I just finished listening to their self-titled. Great album! As for me, I just started sampling PFM's "Per Un Amico", and I really am starting to realize why it's in the Top 100.
I consider drone metal to be progressive...

"Per un amico" is brilliant. A kind of modern Vivaldi. The following one "L'Isola di niente" is great too.

Orchestra Njervudarov

Fantastic Avant Garde Jazz with a touch of prog (1979). Of course, not in CD.

This album is often cited for its long suite "Frutti Per Kagua" of 18 minutes. I do not quite agree. For me these are the three following songs that are the heart of the record, especially the last one  "L'ultima notte", inspired from the first to the last note.

Some nice selections there my avian friend....I have not played Capitolo 6 in ages so that was kinda fun.  You can hear each musician very clearly and there is a great jamming vibe in that track, a very live sound.
...that moment you realize you like "Mob Rules" better than "Heaven and Hell"
