Today it is a song I can't believe I went so long without hearing. Because I can't post here often enough to do a daily song, I'll go weekly. Here's my favorite song of the week:

A Change is Gonna Come - Sam Cooke. I heard the first lines and it forced goosebumps onto my skin.

Here are this week's very honorable mentions.

-They're Hanging Me, Tonight - Marty Robbins
-Great Atomic Power - The Louvin Brothers
-Tennessee - Carl Perkins
-Thirteen Women (And Only One Man in Town) - Bill Haley and His Comets
-Crying - Roy Orbison
-A Kiss to Build a Dream On - Louis Armstrong

I don't believe this myself, but ... Yes - "Gates of Delirium". But it's probably still a *** / *****.

This one.  And yes, they thought of this BEFORE the Beatles did it.

Every time I listen to this album, that track becomes my favorite for the day, and it popping into my head is usually the first reason I decide to listen to the album anyway.  Bob Drake and David Kerman together causing some damn near perfect music to come out of speakers...

The Stranglers - Walk On By.
BTW, their keyboardist Dave Greenfield was a prog rocker according to an interview with JJ Burnel and Rick Wakeman that I'm reading right now.
