I can vaguely, in an abstract sort of way understand how a person might not like chocolate. Not so with cats.

I'll sum it up for you.

So it goes."

Though first I have been forced to read all I can about the Peruvian Nazi Party of the other thread...

I'm sure they have a forum you can join.

Read the first chapter of the book. If you can put it down, then you're a stronger willed man than I (or just have different subjective evaluations or interpret hyperbole more literally than I)

I'm generallt very poorly equipped when it comes to willpower to stop reading books that start halfway decently so I'm sure I'll finish it.

Something to immortalize here:

This is in reference to the national debt, which I divided up by US citizen, telling him he owes 50k+.

Note how he says he "wasn't the beneficiary running up the bill."

^Oh, privateers... isn't that how pirates began in the first place?
What?

I don't think so? Pirating is just theft, so I doubt organizations that charge a fee for defense of property predates pirates.

^ True - I wasn't being strictly literal or historically accurate - many 16th (& 17th) century pirates (ie those Hollywood-accurate historical characters we recognise as "pirates") began their careers as privateers and while the investors who profited from financing the privateers may or may not have been directly involved in the insurance and protection racket that was emerging in the Lloyd's coffee houses at that time, there was a degree of similarity between those investors and the investors who "wagered" on cargo ships arriving safely in port with their cargo to imagine them having a broad portfolio that had interests in both enterprises.... Ermm ... Confused ... Ermm ... Smile yup, that's what I meant.

I took that fun isidewith.com quiz and as expected I side 94% with Ron Paul (though unexpectedly I side a lot with republicans in general). But the real news is that my Mom took it and her first choice was also Ron Paul. Oh hard work has paid off .

He will still never be elected anyway

I got 96% with Ron Paul which does not surprise me so much. The surprise is that I'm a 98% with Gary Johnson. I would like to know how to explain that.

Edit: Ah the quiz not making much sense probably accounts for it.

For example my response to should we intervene in other countries' affairs is No and we should abolish the CIA/NSA. Ron Paul, who supports doing just that, has his answer as No, we have more important domestic issues to worry about. For some reason, that's a disagreement between the two of us.

The evolution thing separated us as well which is legit I suppose.

Somehow, I got 90% with Mitt Romney and 88% with Ron Paul. The quiz must be broken indeed.

I didn't notice the "choose another option" buttons the first time through. I took it again and got 99% Ron Paul. Smile
