Hello all.
First of all, I am a drummer.
But i love keyboards and synths,
Especially the progressive rock/metal patches.
I am an avid fan of Transatlantic and Neal Morse.
When i heard the whirlwind, there was a passage where Neal Morse plays a solo. I have been trying for ages to find what is the name of the patch (my curiosity kills me)
If I am not wrong, that patch is very much often used in progressive rock. I have heard that sound in Jethro Tull's Thick As A Brick, Opeth's Heritage.
So, can anyone help me find out?
Here's the link where Neal plays the solo
Its at 3:54
Any help will be appreciated.
P.S: Is that a Hammond Organ patch?

Yeah. Even i think it's Hammond Organ
But some friends who are keyboardists say you dont get such a high modulated sound in a Hammond Organ.

But, that is one good solo dont you think guys?

That's just the hammond patch of the VX-7, with a slight chorus effect and rotary.
