Listening to The Flower Kings again. World Of Adventures. It really is a great album, did you mean to say it's progressive metal? Because it doesn't seem that way. Though it still has that 'new' sound. The singer kind of bothers me, but those are small complaints for an amazing album. And actually, regarding new music, Suffocating The Bloom is fantastic. Probably my favorite album from the 90's and up (besides Anglagard of course). There's a few exceptions to new albums, but most of time they're cheesy, typical, poppish (neo-prog) type.

No, I'm not saying it's prog metal. I'm just saying that Flower Kings, even being a "third generation" prog band, still mantains a lot of 70s elements, such as songwriting and production. Hovewer, that "new sound" is inevitable I think. I mean, even using vintage analog equipment, the production environment (cds, mixing, editing ecc.) will give that "new sound". To be honest, I used to think vintage 70s and 80s production was way better that 90s and 00s stuff, but with the time I've changed my mind. This does NOT mean that I prefer digital over analog (and "new sound" over a vintage one), I simply enjoy them equally.

Dude. FLAPJACK is way better than Ed Edd and Eddy.
I would go so far as to say that Flapjack is one of the best cartoons ever. The pun episode should have won awards.

So despite our carefully worded registration dialogue vis a vis eligibility to participate in the forums is restricted to 13 years and over only you have decided to ride roughshod over such caveats and, beggaring belief, are also gauche enough to tell us?

I sent him a private message about being discreet about it. And no one reads those things. I thought everyone knew that

Ah c'mon cut him some slack! He likes prog for crying out loud. Would you rather he be like the rest of his generation and listen to Bieber?
He's the future man don't discourage him!
Edit: Looks like he's been suspended for being underage. Way to go. If he's smart, he'll get another account and change his birthday, or head over to progressiveears.com where things are more friendly... |

I don't agree with permabanning him, but it's not a debate. Like we've never snuck into an R-rated movie when we were 14.
Besides, how much maturing will he really be doing in the some four months it takes for him to reach forums age?

There is currently an underage member on this site (probably more, but one that I'm sure of) and we didn't throw the book at him. If this kind of double standard persists, I'll be leaving for friendlier shores...
I say, as long as these underage members aren't causing troubles, let them in! Just warn them privately about broadcastiing their age. What we're really supposed to do is promote and encourage discussion about Progressive Rock.
