...of reading this website and I never thought to check the forums. More fool me...

Hi, I'm Josh from Maryland. I listen to a wide variety of progressive rock, metal, fusion and other types of music. This seems like a great place to get information.

Cheers!

Welcome to the site.  I saw your Can reference (I assume) in the post you made about your band.  IF it was intended to be a reference and not just a phrase, I assume you like Krautrock to some degree? Big smile

Hah! Good call. I actually meant that literally. I'm a total idiot when it comes to promoting my band. I do like Can though even if I'm very unschooled. I have Tago Mago and I've heard Future Days but my knowledge ends there I'm afraid. I do appreciate a lot of the kraut rock I've been exposed to but I'm always looking for suggestions for old gems that have slipped by  the radar. I have a bit of a blurry understanding of the genre as whole in fact but I love the Kraan, Neu!, Amon Duul and Tangerine Dream albums I've been exposed to. But does a band like Grobschnitt, Satin Whale or Eloy count? Or is that just prog? What about Message? I love "From Books And Dreams"

I'm running still, I shall until, one day, I hope that I'll arrive
Warning: Listening to jazz excessively can cause a laxative effect.
