Believe it or not, these atrocious quotes are part of the same film:
Robin: I hate to disappoint you but my rubber lips are immune to your charms
Robin: [checking out the Batmobile] I want a car, chicks dig the car.
Batman: This is why Superman works alone. Batman: [Batman bids for Poison Ivy] One million dollars!
Robin: [as does Robin] Two million! Batman: You don't have it. Three million! Robin: I'll borrow it from you! Four million! Batman: Five million! Robin: That's a utility belt not a money belt. Six million. [Batman looks at Robin and then produces something from said-belt] Batman: [firmly] Seven million. [it's a credit card blazed with the Bat symbol. Expiration date: FOREVER] Batman: Never leave the cave without it!
Batgirl: [to Poison Ivy] Using feminine wiles to get what you want? Trading on your looks? Read a book, sister. That passive-aggressive number went out years ago.
Batman: Hey, Freeze. The heat is on
Mr. Freeze: You're not sending ME to the COOLER!
Mr. Freeze: Mercy? I'm afraid my condition has left me cold to your pleas of mercy
Mr. Freeze: Tonight, hell freezes over!
Mr. Freeze: Ice to see you!
Mr. Freeze: NOT! Surprise, I am your new cell mate. And I'm here to make your life a living hell. Prepare for a bitter harvest. Winter has come at last.
Mr. Freeze: I will blanket the city in endless winter. First Gotham, and then the world.
Mr. Freeze: What killed the dinosaurs? The Ice Age!
Mr. Freeze: In this universe, there's only one absolute... everything freezes!
Mr. Freeze: Cool party! Mr. Freeze: [referring to Batman and Robin] Their bones will turn to ice! Their blood will freeze in my hands! Mr. Freeze: Can you be cold, Batman? You have eleven minutes to thaw a bird. What will you do? Chase the villain or save the boy? Your emotions make you weak. That's why this day is mine!
Mr. Freeze: If revenge is a dish best served cold, then put on your Sunday finest. It's time to feast!
Mr. Freeze: Watch the numbers, Batman, for they are the harbingers of your doom. Can you feel it coming? The icy cold of space! Ahh! At 30,000 feet, your heart will *freeze* and be no more! Mr. Freeze: Allow me to break the ice. My name is Freeze. Learn it well. For it's the chilling sound of your doom.
Mr. Freeze: Let's kick some ice!
Mr. Freeze: The Ice Man cometh!
Mr. Freeze: Tonight's forecast... a freeze is coming!
Mr. Freeze: [freezes Robin] Stay cool, Birdboy.
Mr. Freeze: Yes! If I must suffer... Humanity will suffer with me! I shall repay them for sentencing me to a life without human comfort. I will blanket the city in endless winter! First... Gotham. And then... The world!
Mr. Freeze: One more giant diamond of this size, then my freeze engine will be complete. Aah. First, I will freeze the city, then I will hold Gotham ransom. Unless the city bows for my demands, it's winter forever in Gotham. The city fathers will have no choice but to give me the billions I need to complete my research, then I can find the cure. Mr. Freeze: Freeze in hell, Batman!
In case you haven't guessed, I'm talking about the pile of crap that was Batman & Robin

Caddyshack 2, without question, is the worst sequel of all time. |

The only really bad sequels are those where the original was already dismal. Most of the flims listed here are fairly decent films in their own right, just some of them had a lot to live up to (including the expectation of the fans) - that doesn't make them bad, it just makes them not as good as the earlier film(s) in the series.
Eddie Murphy in a fatsuit - those are just going to get progressively worse with each film by default.

I'm pretty sure The Dark Knight Rises was intended to happen when the first one was being made, it's like putting the last LOTR movie on this list. Most of these other movies are obvious cash-ins because of movies prior.

Jaws 3-D and Jaws 4 were pretty awful movies. I agree that most of the above movies are pretty bad as well.

One of my least favorite sequels (but not worst ever) was Die Hard II.
I think most people want a sequel to be at least as good, if not slightly better, than the original.
The airport Die Hard was not nearly as good as the original.
Fortunately, Die Hard III came along and more than made up for the disappointing DH II.

Actually, those are called "second sequels". So, you could say that those are "sequels in a series".

Oh yes, with Vanilla Ice, that's the one!
That's bad enough, but the (urh) `film' comes across as the most inept, worst attempt at disguising a toy commercial as a movie. It doesn't even try to make any attempt at being even remotely decent, just falls flat from one scene to the next, rubbish martial arts scenes, dreadful voice acting from the lead characters, awful joke after awful joke. Then again, it's meant for 6 year olds with the aim of selling them toys, so I suppose it was more than successful in that respect! I suppose the puppet work and costumes are pretty well done, but that's the only plus! Most sequels at least have the delusion of TRYING to be half-decent lol! |
